Japanese evening Returning from Woodbridge in Suffolk one afternoon, where I had been taking a few photographs at a pony driving instruction centre, the light became perfect for evening photography. I soon finished of my remaining film on views such as this one, with the watery sun just visible behind the central tree. It is the shape of the sharply focussed branch in the foreground that brings to mind the simplicity and tranquility of a Japanese Zen garden, hence "Japanese evening". |
